Privacy Policy

NaturalWrite is built privacy-first. We don't require an account, and we don't store the text you write. This policy explains what little we do collect and why.
Your Text
We do not store, save, or log the text you write. When you rewrite something:
- Your text is sent to our rewriting service for processing.
- The improved text is returned to you.
- Your text is not stored on our servers and is not used to train models.
Your text is used only, and only momentarily, to produce the rewrite.
Anonymous Analytics
To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we collect anonymous usage analytics through PostHog. This includes:
- Which features are used (e.g. a rewrite was requested or completed)
- Coarse measures such as character-count and number of changes — never your actual text
- App version and basic device/OS information
This data is anonymous and is not linked to your identity. There is no account, and we do not collect names, emails, or advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data.
On Your Device
Some data stays only on your device and never leaves it:
- Your writing-style preferences
- Onboarding and app state
Uninstalling the app removes this data.
Subscriptions
NaturalWrite Pro is an auto-renewable subscription handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. You can view or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings.
Third-Party Services
- OpenAI — processes your text to generate the rewrite (text is not stored)
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics
- Apple — App Store and subscription processing
Children's Privacy
NaturalWrite is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest change.
